Why invest in a heat kit?
Electric heat strips, also referred to as heat kits, serve as a secondary or supplemental heating solution designed to integrate seamlessly with the air handler. Often likened to a “large blow dryer,” these kits deliver direct heating output through your ductwork. Heat kits are primarily utilized during emergencies, such as when the heat pump is temporarily inoperative or when outdoor temperatures drop to extreme lows. While they are less energy-efficient than heat pumps, heat kits are designed for occasional use, typically for short durations when additional heating support is essential.
