Why invest in a heat kit?

Electric heat strips, also known as heat kits, serve as a supplemental or backup heating solution installed within the air handler. Functioning similarly to a large “blow dryer,” these kits provide direct heating through your duct system. They are particularly valuable in emergency situations when the heat pump is temporarily inoperable or during periods of extremely cold weather. Although less energy-efficient than heat pumps, heat kits are intended for short-term use to ensure consistent heating when needed most.
