Why should you invest in a heat kit?

Electric heat strips, or heat kits, serve as a supplemental heating solution, installed within the air handler. Often likened to a large blow dryer, the heat kit efficiently channels heated air directly into the ductwork. These kits are primarily utilized in emergency situations, such as when the heat pump is temporarily out of service or during extremely low outdoor temperatures. Although heat kits may not match the energy efficiency of heat pumps, they are essential for maintaining comfort in critical situations and are typically used for brief intervals.
